Slim design with compact size of M5 to M8 without interference even when lined up. Various sizes and contact probe shapes can be selected to match the detecting object.
Dogs and intermediary actuators required by conventional “proximity sensors” and “microswitches” are no longer necessary.

Metrol touch switches have a SUS body, which is more durable and accurate than plastic sensors (micro switches and limit switches).

CSH series perfect for angled-touch application

The CSH series uses linear bushings for bearings, enabling detection from the declination (angled) direction.
It is also exceptionally durable with a protection rating of IP67.

The CSM series can be easily integrated into equipment and devices where space is limited, or miniaturization is required. Ideal for checking the seating of jigs and workpieces.

"Precision mechanical system" that does not require an amplifier, eliminating misdetection.

“Erroneous detection” can lead to defects and minor downtime.
Touch switches, unlike proximity sensors, eliminate false detection caused by mutual interference between sensors or changes in magnetic fields, and allow side-by-side placement at a narrow pitch.

Disadvantages of touch type

  • Liquids, soft workpieces, and other objects that are not touchable cannot be detected.
  • Takt time (TT) may be longer because of the time required to contact the workpiece.
  • Since the detection is made by making contact with the workpiece, the measuring range is shorter than the non-contact type sensors.
