The origin of "METROL" stands for
MEASURE and CONTROL
MT-Touch Sensor and MT-Pulser were co-invented with TOYOTA for its car-manufacturing lines. (TMS standard)
In machine tool industry, METROL tool setters are widely used by more than 70 machine tool builders in 17 countries.
Cumulative total 300,000 tool setters have been working on machine tools (CNC lathes and machining centers) in the last 10 years.

METROL specializes in manufacturing ultra precision switches used for position detection and dimension discrimination, and owns international patents.
They are unique products and structurally different from the conventional limit switches, proximity sensors, and photoelectric sensors.
For quality assessment, ISO9001 certification was acquired in 1997.
Our mission statement is “Contribution to our customer by cost reduction” through our suggestion for improvement of productivity and machine downsizing by choosing a right product in our lineups and customizing it to customers’applications.
Nowadays, METROL products are used in not only long standing automobile industry and machine tool industry but also by leading companies in semiconductor, robot, and disk brake industry.
